On Saturday 14th September some lucky U7 & U8 players were invited to be mascots for the day for the First Team at the home match against Bridgend Street.
The sun was shining, and the minis enjoyed a pre-match warm up with some of the players, before being invited into the changing room, then walking out with the players.
Team photos were taken, before the action kicked off.
Monmouth went behind midway through the first half, before getting a well taken equalizer just before half time.
During half time the minis enjoyed a small sided game on the pitch, before the players returned for the second half.
A well fought second half ensued, with Monmouth getting the only goal, with a great free kick into the box and a well timed flicked header over the goal keeper proved to be enough for the The Kingfishers to come out on top.
The minis were then into the clubhouse for snacks and refreshments and mingled with the players.

A fantastic afternoon for all, and a great demonstration of our One Club spirit.
